Miscellaneous

Grates may close the path behind you

If you step on a grate and it makes a 'click' sound, it means that the path behind you has been blocked by a wall. In order for you to remove that wall, you need to push the hidden button located behind some wall panel.

The fire hydrants

Some encounters are unable to move in water. You can open and close the fire hydrants by touching the wheel on top of it which will fill the room with water. It will also miraculously restore light to tiles that shut your vision when you step in them.

Be careful though because your droids get damaged when they get in contact with water. Make sure you are in a safe spot (a ladder going down, a door frame or a grate) or have the Anti-Grav Dev-Scape activated to walk on the ceiling.

Although it would have been fun, water does not extinguish fire!

Holes in floor and ceiling

A hole in the floor will make your droids fall on the level below. A hole on the ceiling can be reached with the Anti-Grav Dev-Scape activated and will make your droids "fall" on the level above. A hole cannot be above or below another hole.

Exploding base

When the generators explode, some parts of the base are affected.
  • Blue doors and laser doors are indefinitely opened
  • Raiser walls are indefinitely lifted
  • Cupboards are locked
  • Planet probe computers are shut down
  • Laser door terminals are offline
  • Power sockets are not functional
  • Iris doors, Trill doors and doors with a button are inoperable

Dark areas

Some sections of a base may cause the droids' visual device to completely shut off. Sound can still heard and droids are fully operational, but nothing can be seen. To correct this issue, the Visor optic device can be used to adapt the visual device to these sections at the price of red interference lines across the screen.

Word generator

I'm starting to doubt that the name of the passwords are truly random...

The passwords are indeed randomly created using a set of syllables. Laser door passwords are built using 3 random parts of hardcoded string characters
Part 1: VI, RUP, YUL, SCO, PHY, RAT, QUE, CHA, SY, POC, E, EX, DE, LAP, EL, and MID
Part 2: SO, SI, LE, NE, SIC, THA, ENE, INS, OO, ES, GIN, CEP, LTE, PE, DER, and S
Part 3: DON, S, ING, ST, Y, ED, BERY, SY, LUME, TON, FAR, HAM, KAL, APE, BEE, and INK

When building a planet probe computer password, an extra syllable is added between the second and third part using one of the following: SY, POC, E, EX, DE, LAP, EL, MID, SO, SI, LE, NE, SIC, THA, ENE, and INS

Planet/Moon names work a bit differently. The system will build the name using 4 parts. For each part, it will pick a random number between 0 and 15, and multiply it by 2. The letter located at this index of the part will be added to the name, and so does the following letter if it's not '_'. For this reason, it's impossible for a name to be bigger than 8 characters.

Part 1: Z_QUP_TRSLM_B_GRL_S_R_C_PHEXD_P_
Part 2: A_OOE_EEAII_IEIOO_ASODEAUIU_ELAL
Part 3: M_T_TRF_CKPHG_N_STP_S_L_K_D_V_US
Part 4: I_Y_A_EEERIOOSELODREO_E_ETOTIAAN

Strangest base

Sometimes, the map generator will generate odd bases. Base 2 of mission 2640 has got to be the smallest of them all with only 22 floor cells and one single generator instead of a group of 9 generators. Here is the screenshot from SuperCC.

Note that this is the complete base and not just some part of it!
