Droid Parts

Protection

The droids can be protected by an armor to reduce damage caused by the hostile environment. There are 10 different armor types having a quality range from "Basic" to "Super" (except for the "Human" armor that only has "Basic") for a total of 71 different armor parts. Each armor part has 4 specifications:

Armature: The protection against damages
Agility: Along with the armature, this also used as a protection factor. Additionally, when throwing an object or firing a weapon, the agility of the used arm and hand are combined to calculate the distance of the object/projectile.
Health: The amount of damage it can receive before being useless.  You need to multiply this value by 4 to get the used value.
Drainage: The amount of electricity it consumes. The drainage is multiplied by 2 for the arms, by 3 for the legs and by 15 for the chest.

The tables below display each specification value for each quality of each armor type. These values consider the health of the parts to be at 100%. When not the case, the value is reduced.

Private parts!

The name of the parts are stored in the code. The first name listed is not "Human", but "Shit"! I assume this is the name the programmer gave to the sections that don't have any parts installed!

Tindron View

You will notice that the view is very different if your leader has a Tindron head, especially if the quality of it is less than 6. This is not a bug in the game! You might want to avoid using this particular head on your leader.

Normal view
View with a Tindron head of high quality
View with a Tindron head of low quality

Damaged Head

When the health of the leader's head is less than 20%, the view is disrupted by having blank lines across the screen.

Accessibility

The droids require a certain level of robotic skills before being able to use different quality of parts. When a droid is being hit on an armor part that requires more robotic skills to be used, it is as if the droid's vitality is 2, and the amount of damage inflicted is doubled.

Damage Effects

When the part of a droid has too much damage, it can have an effect on the performance of that part.
  • If the health of a part is less than 1/3, the weight it can support is set to 1
  • If the health of a hand and/or arm is 0, it cannot be used
  • If the health of the leader's left hand and/or arm is 0, objects cannot be thrown
  • If the health of the leader's head is less than 1/3, only 1 line out of 2 is visible
  • If the health of the leader's head is 0, no view is visible

Weight effect on speed

An armor of a droid is designed to support a certain amount of weight. If the total weight of the items carried by a droid exceeds this maximum capacity, the speed of the droid is reduced which slows the whole party.
  • If the weight is less than 50kg more than supported, the droid slows the party by a factor of 2
  • If the weight is between 50kg and 100kg more than supported, the droid slows the party by a factor of 3
  • If the weight is more than 100kg than supported, the droid slows the party by a factor of 4
